Spotify confirmed that a human reviews every badge the platform applies on its own. And when you tap a badge, you can see whether the artist disclosed it transparently or whether Spotify had to make the call. That said, the label is about identity only: a real singer who uses AI tools to produce a song does not get tagged.

What happens to AI Persona music in your recommendations
Here is the part that changes your daily listening. By default, Spotify will not push AI Persona music into its editorial playlists, its algorithmic stations or your personalized recommendations. The only exception is simple: if you follow an AI Persona, its music can still reach you.

How to spot the badge on your own playlists next month
From mid-September, scan any playlist you rely on and look at the track rows. If a badge appears next to an artist, tap it: you will see how the profile was identified, and you can decide whether to keep following it.
A simple weekend experiment: open the profiles of three artists you discovered recently through recommendations and check their About section. Spotify keeps adding AI layers on both sides of the app, as we saw when the app gained an assistant you can talk to.
